the contest
Engaged couples or soon-to-be-engaged couples must answer the following questions (listed below) and provide two (2) creative examples in an e-mail with the SUBJECT: 2 Birds, 1 Day Giveaway Entry TO: giveaway@borrowedevent.com by March 25, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST. One winning couple will be announced at borrowed on April 1, 2012 at The American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) at 4:30 PM. The winning couple must be present to receive the prize.
15 Questions
1) Tell us your love story in as much detail as possible (from the moment you first locked eyes – or didn’t – through the silly dates, to the sweet proposal).
2) Tell us your favorite characteristics about each other and why you want to be together for the rest of your lives.
3) Tell us what you do for a living, what you like to do by yourselves and what you like to do together.
4) Tell us about the best gift you ever received from each other and what made it so great.
5) Tell us about your dream honeymoon.
6) Tell us where you plan to get married & when (set or estimated date/time of year)?
7) What 3 words would sum up the feel of your wedding day?
8) Besides getting married, what is the most important thing to you about your wedding day?
9) How important is it to you to have personal relationships with your wedding vendors?
10) Each list one album and film you couldn’t live without.
11) What character(s) from TV or movies best describe each of you and why?
12) If someone famous was going to play each of you in a film about your lives, who would it be and why?
13) Each list your favorite photographic subject or place (besides yourselves) to hang on your walls.
14) Tell us what you love about the work or philosophies of Jillian McGrath Photography & Birdhouse Productions.
15) Tell us why we should choose you over everyone else.
Creative Extras
In addition to answering the above 15 questions, we ask that you submit two more items to help us make our decision:
1. A photo of yourselves that best represents your relationship (REQUIRED)
2. A creative representation **MUST BE MADE BY YOU, THE COUPLE!** depicting two birds in any manner/costume/setting/story line that you feel best represents your relationship. Choose one from the following:
• An illustration, painting or collage
• A photograph
• A 1 minute film (live action or animation – no photo slideshows, please) set to music or with voiceover/natural sound
the rules
• Entrant Rules: Entrants must be engaged or soon-to-be engaged and planning a wedding between December 2012 – December 2013 to enter. All races, ethnicities, ages and same sex couples welcome. Winning couple must be present at borrowed on April 1, 2012 at AVAM at 4:30 PM when winning couple is announced in order to win.
• Entry Rules: No purchase necessary to enter. All entries must be sent electronically to giveaway@borrowedevent.com. No paper or mail entries will be considered.
• Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize – 2 Birds, 1 Day BLUEBIRD Photo + Cinema package – will be given and not redeemable for cash value.
• Notification of Entry: Entrant will receive an automated e-mail response upon submitting entry to giveaway@borrowedevent.com If entrant does not receive automated response, entrant assumes responsibility for re-submitting their entry. Borrowed and its partners will not be held responsible for any lost entries.
• Forfeiture of Grand Prize: Should the winning couple change their wedding date or not hold their wedding between December 2012 – December 2013 for any reason, the winning couple forfeits their grand prize to the runner up. No exceptions will be made.

judging
Judging will be conducted by Jillian & Ryan of Jillian McGrath Photography and Natalie & Mark of Birdhouse Productions. Judging will be based on entrant’s answers and supplemental materials, ONLY, and will be effected in no part by Judges knowledge of or relationship to entrants. One (1) winning couple will be announced at 4:30 PM EST on April 1, 2012 at borrowed (at AVAM – 800 Key Highway, Baltimore, MD) and will receive one (1) Grand Prize of The Bluebird Photo + Cinema package (details listed above under “the big win”) for their wedding day. Winning couple must be present to win.
